Prosser School District's Prosser Heights Elementary School Leaves Their Mark in the Math Is Cool Competition (Photo) - 04/25/17

On March 24th, Prosser Heights Elementary School took forty-two 4th and 5th graders to Sunnyside for a Math is Cool Competition. This is our first year of doing so and it was a huge success! Prosser Heights Elementary students competed in individual and team competitions. Based on their points, the 4th grade team received 1st place for their division and the 5th grade team received 2nd place for their division. In addition, Owen Hartliep received 1st place for highest scoring 4th grade individual, Jaden Peters received 2nd place for highest scoring 5th grade individual, and Mackenzi Gonzalez took 6th place for highest scoring 5th grade individual. Prosser Heights Elementary School looks forward to competing again next year.

Prosser School District's Whitstran Elementary School Archery Team to Compete at National Competition (Photo) - 04/17/17

On March 18,2017, Prosser School District's Whitstran Elementary Archery 4th and 5th Grade Teams competed in the National Archery Schools Program (NASP), Washington State Championship. Thirty-seven schools around the state participated in the tournament. Among the fourteen elementary schools, Whitstran's 5th grade team earned 3rd place in the entire state competition. Three students earned Top 12 in their division: Walter Olmstead, 4th grade, ranked 8th; Liam Thompson, 5th grade, ranked 10th; and Angel Espinoza, 5th grade, ranked 12th out of 152 elementary age boys. Those who earned Top Ten now qualify for NASP Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky on May 11-13, 2017/
