Granite Falls School District to Host Ribbon Cutting for 24/7 Public Access SaveStation AED Community Celebration Honors Life-Saving Initiative Led by Alison King and Funded by Project 100 and Adam Lang
Granite Falls, WA – The Granite Falls School District is proud to announce the installation of a new SaveStation – a 24/7 publicly accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED) located at the Granite Falls High School/MCE Sports Complex. A community ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 4:00 PM to celebrate this life-saving addition.
This outdoor AED station will be registered with both 911 and PulsePoint, a nationally recognized AED registry. The PulsePoint AED program maps and manages AED locations through a mobile app and website, giving emergency dispatchers and nearby responders real-time access to AEDs during a cardiac emergency. The registry is fully integrated with emergency call centers and issues alerts to individuals near a cardiac arrest event, helping them respond quickly and effectively.
This project was made possible thanks to the generous donation from Project 100 and Adam Lang, whose support ensured this life-saving technology would be accessible to the Granite Falls community. The initiative was also led by Alison King, a long-time community member and Granite Falls School District parent, whose vision and leadership brought the project to life.
“We are thrilled to offer this vital resource to our students, staff, and community,” said Superintendent Dana Geaslen. “Lives are saved when AEDs are accessible, and this installation reflects the power of community care, generosity, and partnership.”
