Tiger Cabinet Welcomes State And Community Leaders For Powerful Student Voice Event
-05/29/25
Granite Falls, WA — The Granite Falls School District’s Tiger Cabinet brought together student leaders from grades 3 through 12 today for a powerful morning of civic engagement and dialogue with local and state officials. Special guests included Senator Keith Wagoner, Representative Sam Low, Wil Johnson, Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer for Snohomish County, and Zoe Reese, Business Development Director at Community Health Center of Snohomish County.
Each leader joined small table conversations with students, who asked thoughtful questions about leadership, equity, and education policy. Questions ranged from “What advice do you have for students who want to be leaders?” to “What bill or policy are you most proud of championing?”
“This was an incredible opportunity to have leaders in our state and community hear student voice first-hand,” said Superintendent Dana Geaslen. “Our students were engaged, honest, and passionate—and our guests responded with equal care and attention.”
The Tiger Cabinet initiative continues to amplify student voice across the district, guiding decision-making and building authentic partnerships between students and district leaders.
