Colorado Springs, CO – April 18, 2018 – On Wednesday, April 25, 2018, Air Academy Federal Credit Union (AAFCU®), will give away $7,500 during its second Payback Piggy event.  AAFCU will ‘hide’ 300 small plastic AAFCU piggy banks, each containing $25 cash, in Colorado Springs, Monument, Castle Rock, Parker, and Highlands Ranch, in early celebration of Pay It Forward Day.

Piggy banks will be placed at various locations throughout the community, along with instructions for those who find the piggy bank to use the funds to “brighten their day or the day of someone else with the cash inside.”  Instructions also include a request for finders to share their Payback Piggy stories with AAFCU on its Facebook and Twitter pages. Community members should be on the lookout for the piggy banks at local businesses, parks, or other public locations.

“Community is one of our organization’s core values,” said Glenn Strebe, President/CEO of Air Academy Federal Credit Union. “We strive to be engaged and involved in the communities where we live and work. Payback Piggy is a rewarding way for our employees to give back to their community, while celebrating the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ and Pay It Forward Day.”

Air Academy Federal Credit Union is a $565 million credit union serving over 49,000 members worldwide, with eight branch locations in Colorado and online. The credit union serves all active and retired military, 10 school districts from Colorado Springs to Denver, and over 250 select employee groups.  AAFCU was chartered in 1955.
