Girl Scouts Mobilize to Donate Girl Scout Cookies to Military Heroes (Photo) - 03/08/24

Boise, Idaho (March 8, 2024) – Girl Scouts of Silver Sage announces the launch of Operation Cookie, a new cookie donation program. Starting on March 9, Girl Scout Cookie customers can purchase cookies from a local Girl Scout – either in person or online – and designate one or more packages to be donated to Military Heroes. In doing so, they will help Girl Scouts in our area fill an aircraft with cookies to donate!

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is currently underway and runs through March 17. You can find Cookie Booths at your favorite retail and grocery stores, including Albertsons, Fred Meyer, and Grocery Outlet.

“Girl Scouts are so appreciative of everything that our Military Heroes do and sacrifice for our country,” said Jason Burnette, CEO of Girl Scouts of Silver Sage. “We are excited to give the Girl Scouts in our Council another opportunity to give back and serve the community while also learning valuable life and entrepreneurship skills.”

To find your most convenient Girl Scout Cookie Booth, use the Cookie Finder tool at http://www.girlscouts-ssc.org/cookies. When you enter your zip code, you will see the nearest upcoming Cookie Booths, in addition to a local troop that you can purchase from online.

"As a veteran and Girl Scout Volunteer, this program is an amazing opportunity to directly impact the lives of our current and former military service members to bridge the gap between these girls and our military. It creates an appreciation and value to these young girls for what our military members provide and sacrifice so that they can be girl entrepreneurs, trailblazers, leaders, and potentially members of the military themselves,” shared Amy Fagan (ret. TSGT), Girl Scout mom and Troop Leader.
