Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Unboxes the Future with the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Season  - 02/21/24

Boise, Idaho (February 21, 2024) Girl Scouts of Silver Sage will mark the start of 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Booth season throughout Southern Idaho and in parts of Northern Nevada and Eastern Oregon starting on Friday, February 23. This annual event gives Girl Scouts the opportunity to unbox their futures as young female entrepreneurs through the world’s largest entrepreneurial program for girls.

During this highly anticipated time of the year, girls flex their entrepreneurial muscles and acquire important life skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. All Cookie Program proceeds stay with local councils and troops to power Girl Scouts’ amazing experiences year-round.

This year’s theme, Unbox the Future, aims to remove social barriers that often keep girls boxed in. When bold, goal-getting Girl Scouts sell a package of cookies, they’re doing much more than what’s seen at face value. Girl Scouts are entrepreneurial powerhouses creating a more equitable future for themselves and the world. Every box of cookies sold contributes to invaluable experiences for Girl Scouts such as service projects, troop travel and summer camp.

This season, cookie lovers can enjoy the full assortment of Girl Scout Cookies, including fan favorites such as Thin Mints®, Caramel deLites®, Peanut Butter Patties, and more.

“We had an amazing, record-breaking year for our Council in 2023 with the Girl Scout Cookie Program, and we can’t wait to see how the girls “Unbox the Future” with the 2024 season. Everyone enjoys Girl Scout Cookies, and it’s so much more than a box of cookies. Girl Scouts learn to manage money, learn people skills, business ethics, set their goals, and make decisions. With your support, we are helping these girls experience a lifetime of leadership,” explained Jason Burnette, CEO of Girl Scouts of Silver Sage.

Nearly 700k girls nationwide participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, which provides vital girl-led entrepreneurial skills that build courage, confidence and character.
