News Release
Possible Intimidation Crime Investigation *****ARREST UPDATE BELOW*** - 12/28/18

 

On 12/24/2018 at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon McMinnville Police officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the parking lot at 635 NE Hwy 99W.  Initial reports indicated a disturbance between the occupants of two vehicles.  When officers arrived in the area neither party had remained on scene and officers were unable to locate either vehicle.

On 12/26/2018 Officers had contact with an involved party who showed them the video she had taken of the incident.  The police department also received information from several other uninvolved parties about the video, which had been posted on social media. An investigation into the incident is on-going.

The McMinnville Police Department takes all crimes seriously and particularly any crime that appears to have racial tones as this one does.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to email Officer Harmon at Rob.harmon@mcminnvilleoregon.gov

*****ARREST UPDATE*****

On 12-28-18 at about 7:50 pm McMinnville Police, assisted by YCSO, OSP and Grand Ronde Tribal Police, arrested 39 year old Amber Rocco, a Willamina resident, for this incident.  Rocco will be transported to the Yamhill County Jail where she will be lodged on the following charges:

Intimidation First Degree, 2 counts (C felony)

Unlawful Use of a Weapon, 2 counts (C felony)

Menacing, 2 counts (A misdemeanor)

Harassment, 2 counts (A misdemeanor)

Total Bail Amount:  $55,000
