Colette S. Peters, Director of the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC), announced the appointment of Paula Myers as the Superintendent of Coffee Creek Correctional Facility (CCCF). “It has been an honor and privilege to serve as the Deputy Trial Court Administrator for the Marion County Circuit Court.  Over the past five years, I have been impressed by court staff and their dedication to providing fair and equitable access to justice services.  I am excited return to DOC in a leadership role at Coffee Creek where I will work along side other dedicate correctional professionals,” said Ms. Myers.

Paula started her DOC career in 1990 as a Correctional Officer at the Oregon Women's Correctional Center. Five years later, she started her rise through the ranks as Sergeant at the Oregon State Correctional Institution (OSCI). Two years later, she made Lieutenant at Mill Creek Correctional Facility and shortly after moved to the Oregon State Penitentiary (OSP) to work in Special Housing. In 2000, Paula promoted to Security Manager at OSP. The first time she became Superintendent was in 2008 at Columbia River Correctional Institution and South Fork Forest Camp. In 2011 she transferred to Santiam Correctional Institution and the Oregon State Penitentiary Minimum.

In 2013, she left for a sister public safety agency and became the Deputy Trial Court Administrator for the Marion County Circuit Court with the Oregon Judicial Department. She will begin her new role on May 14, 2018.

“I’m pleased to welcome Ms. Myers back to the DOC family. Her executive experience as Deputy Trial Court Administrator and her years of leadership within our agency, make her an excellent choice for Superintendent of Coffee Creek Correctional Facility,” stated Director Peters.

While working for DOC, she received her Associates in Criminal Justice from Chemeketa Community College and a Certification of Public Management from Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University. As a Deputy Trial Court Administrator, she received her certification from the National Center for State Courts in Court Management as a certified court manager.

CCCF is a multi-custody facility in Wilsonville that houses more than 1,200 women. It provides intake and evaluation of all female and male inmates committed to state custody. CCCF delivers a range of correctional services and programs including alcohol and drug treatment, education, work opportunities, cognitive programming, and pre-release services. The minimum facility opened in 2001 and the medium facility opened in 2002. CCCF is Oregon’s only women’s prison.
