@WapatoSD
Good afternoon,
As many of you know, based on a release I sent you a few weeks ago, Wapato Public Schools is seeking voter approval of a $33-miilion bond to replace three aging schools in the District. As part of he District’s effort to inform our voters about the bond proposal we are holding a series of community forums between now and election day, which is February 13, 2024.
The first forum is coming up next week. Anything you can do to help get the word out would be appreciated. Please see the attached release with details about the forum.
I’ve also attached a facts sheet about the bond proposal and the projects the bond would fund.
I want to make sure you are clear about the projects the bond would fund. Even though we are talking about replacing three school buildings……
If the bond passes…we would only building two new school buildings. As stated in the facts sheet, the existing Camas and Satus Elementary Schools would be replaced with a SINGLE, larger school building to accommodate the students and grade levels currently being served by those two existing elementary Schools.
Let me know if you have any questions
